Cast a line, dip your paddle or take the plunge in one of our many lakes and rivers in Wangaratta and surrounds.

With our two main rivers, the King and Ovens Rivers, starting their journeys in the mountains of the High Country before meandering through fertile valleys and farmlands, they both provide the perfect opportunity for fishing, boating, camping and picnic opportunities to create memories of a lifetime.   

For the more adventurous, these rivers and our scenic lakes such as the remote Lake Cobbler, scenic Lake William Hovell and historic Eldorado Dredge also provide the perfect location for canoeing, kayaking and when the water levels are right, some action packed White-water rafting.
