Being on the foothills of Great Dividing Range, Wangaratta’s surrounding National Parks offer great four-wheel driving and motorbike adventures.  From short day trips in the granite hills of the Warby Ranges to extended touring loops exploring the mountain peaks and streams of the Alpine National Park, there is an off road track waiting for all levels of adventurer.

From the easy to reach Lake Cobbler, the more adventurous can continue into the Alpine National Park over the infamous ‘Staircase’ and scenic King Billy Track to the iconic Wonnangatta Station.

Head into the Chiltern- Mt Pilot National Park and explore in the footsteps of miners looking for elusive gems along Mulls Track, Flat Rock Track or the challenging Kangaroo Track.

Seasonal road closures- Many roads and tracks are seasonally closed to vehicle traffic each year. These tracks are closed to vehicles for visitor safety, to maintain water quality and prevent erosion during the wetter months as rain and snow softens the tracks, making them vulnerable to damage. Motorbikes and four wheel drives must always stay on formed roads.
