Autumn
Autumn is simply magnificent in this region. Stunning colours and spectacular sights are at your doorstep and it provides the perfect opportunity to grab your bike and head out on one of the many trails to explore the best the region has to offer. You don’t have to be an elite cyclist to enjoy the many tracks and trails around the region from the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail which is lined with spectacular Ornamental Pear and Ginko trees bursting with autumn colours to meandering gravel tracks through colourful vineyards in harvest.
Head to one of the small historic towns around the region like Eldorado and check out the Eldorado Dredge or perhaps do the self-guided walk throughout the the old mining town, which still boasts old miners cottages, the original police station and Victoria's smallest pub. Or to find out more about the final siege and capture of Ned Kelly, head to the historic town of Glenrowan and chat to one of the friendly locals just make sure you don't forget to take a selfie with Big Ned.

From the Giant Pumpkin Festival at Murmungee, the Feast High Country Festival which takes place all over the region to one of Australia's leading sustainability expos The Off Grid Living Festival to the multiple Easter Festivals held at wineries throughout the region which celebrate harvest, family and of course food and wine!
