Wenhams Camp is an excellent base for exploring the walking tracks in the granitic hills, many of which start from the camp. There is a carpark near the toilets for day visitors who are welcome to use the facilities. The campsite has toilets, picnic tables, and fireplaces with grills. The individual unpowered sites are suitable for tents and caravans. Campers must be self-sufficient and bring their own drinking water. Please take your rubbish home for recycling or disposal. Fires are permitted for cooking and warmth in the fireplaces provided, if: it is not a day of Total Fire Ban, a three-metre area around it is cleared of anything flammable, an adult is in attendance at all times and at least 10 litres of water are available for immediate use. Put the fire out with water, not soil. When the campfire is cool to touch, it is safe to leave. Woody debris on the ground provides an important habitat for small animals. Help to protect the park’s wildlife by bringing firewood with you. No fees or bookings are required. The maximum length of stay is 3 days. Sites are limited so large groups are asked to contact Parks Victoria when planning their trip. Information from Parks Victoria.
