Visitor numbers to the town have increased over recent years as cyclists detour to ride a loop from the Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail.   Eldorado is popular with day trippers, horse riding and mountain biking groups.  Artists and gemstone fossickers have known about and visited the area for many years.
